Climb Ostrva Needle with a mountain guide
1890m – Ostrva Needle (“Ihla v Ostrve” in Slovak) is a climbing-accessible slender tower that rises in the upper part of the western slopes of Ostrva Peak. It is a prominent and aesthetic element in the steep rock walls when viewed from Popradske pleso (lake).

Ascent and Climbing Ostrva Needle
The ascent starts at Popradske Lake, from where it continues to a pass under Ostrva and then down a little to the Needle. The whole ascent and actual climb are not very difficult and therefore we recommend it to all adventurous mountain hikers.
Ostrva Needle (Ihla v Ostrve) is special in that you can take beautiful photos at its top with incredible shots of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
Park Regulations
We carry out all ascents of the Tatra peaks in accordance with the valid TANAP visitor regulations.
In the period from 15.4. until 1.6. it is not possible due to the closure – according to TANAP’s visiting rules.
